A renovation and rooftop extension to an old warehouse soon to become office space, the building offers a modern industrial feel interior with stunning views of the London skyline. Spratley & Partners invited Ridlands to work with them to develop the design and install the barrel vault roof which allowed 2 further floors to be added to the building. Maintaining rights of light are significant factors in determining successful planning applications, the barrel design achieved this but brought with it many complex issue for design and construction.
The design solution used Schuco FWS50 curtain wall with inserted ASS50 sliding doors, complete with very large HP Neutral IG units and Zinc tiled insulated panels. The project was completed successfully within the £900,000 budget and on time.
